Procedure:
1. Open a movie file in VLC and click Play.
2. Move the movie file or delete the file while it’s playing. (XDCC transfers in LimeChat does this)
Now once the movie has reached the end of the file, the error log is constantly outputting file not found, and this causes the entire OS X to crash /slow down.
This bug has existed for many many months, perhaps from the beginning of VLC for Mac OS X and has not been resolved.
VLC becomes unresponsive and needs to be Forced Quit, which is difficult to do while your OS X is slowed down by this repeated attempt to load a file.
Any solution in the interim would be ideal, however a fix in the next version would be a great resolution.
Thank you,
Christopher McGough
