I have Merlin's Apprentice dvd and have not been able to listen to the
movie on that dvd yet using vlc. I turn video off since I'm totally blind
when using any of this multimedia software. Syntax I have used got the
intro music playing repeatedly but no internal command I could use
correctly got the movie to play. The syntax I used was:
rvlc --quiet --novideo --volume 300 dvd:///dev/dvd1

What am I doing wrong? I got cd's playing and urls but not dvd's playing
just yet.

use dvdsimple:///dev/dvd1

instead of

dvd:///dev/dvd1
