Hello,
I have a suggestion.
I have a video file with two audio tracks, One sound with a movie and
second with a comentary for blinds. I would like to play two tracks
simultaneously. Is it possible to add to VLC?
It is a .ts file.

Yes it is. You may like to file a bug.

Wouldn't it be easier to just merge the two audio files? IMHO, audio tracks for
visually impaired people should also include the movie audio -- maybe at a lower
volume level than the commentary... and this is what I've seen so far as well.
But I admit not to have too much experience with that sort of things.

Best regards,

But then VLC will have to play both the audio streams at once, which I
think is not possible as of the current time.

I'm using VLC primarily for listening to music and none of the
graphic equalizer pre-sets meet my needs, so I adjust things to suit
me. Is there a way I haven't found to save my settings so I don't
have to fuss with them everytime I open the program?

Thanks in advance.

Dennis,

Try going to Tools > Preferences and at the bottom of the window, under
"Show Settings", select "All".

Go to Advanced Settings > Audio > Filters > Equalizer. In the "Bands
Gain" box, enter your 10 chosen settings (between -20dB and +20dB). Then
"Save".

Best wishes.

I have VLC and Clementine on my PCLinuxOS system, and I'm listening thru
a Logitech speaker array--2 high frequency speakers for stereo, and one
sub-woofer. The pc audio system is Alsa, and always will be. No pulse audio
for me, thanx! No matter how I set the system, there's too much bass.
Clementine has an equalizer that works, and helps. The VLC equalizer
doesn't seem to do anything, regardless of where I set the sliders, and
I don't hear any difference when I select any one of the 8 or so
possibilities.
(Concert, pop, etc.) Yes, I have the "enable" checked. What am I doing
wrong?

Did you try changing the audio playback device in VLC?

A humble suggestion to the programmers regarding graphic equalizer
settings. How about a "save settings" button on the equalizer panel
itself? The user picks the preset that best meets her needs, adjusts
the sliders accordingly to tweak it, and then one click saves that
change for that preset.

Whoops! I have to take back what I said. I just opened VLC for the
first time this morning, populated my playlist (Sibelius Symphony #1
this morning) and started it playing.

My "saved" settings on the graphics equalizer ARE NOT THERE. The
"Preset" window on the equalizer was blank, so I selected "Flat"
which is what I had up when I followed your instructions to save the
changes and the settings I entered were not saved.

I'll keep trying when I have the time, but it is frustrating to have
to reset my sliders everytime I restart the program.

Another aggravation -- on the graphic equalizer the very small text
showing the settings is dark gray on light gray and almost illegible,
which doesn't make transferring those to the settings dialogue. Is
there a way to change that? This isn't a matter of esthetics, it is a
matter of usability.
