I've recently acquired some of these:

They are supposedly uPnP, which I have verified with tcpdump (ssdp
broadcast). However, vlc doesn't seem to see them. (it does see my
mythtv box though).

In the M-SEARCH packet I see

urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:InternetGatewayDevice:1

Does VLC know how to work with this?

Hmm it looks like the camera is in fact searching for the above. I don't
know why, it seems a little odd. Does anyone where speak uPnP ?
